About Us…
The Aqua Zone staff is a diverse bunch with a common thread:
They all are passionate about scuba diving and have more than 90 years of combined skills and experience in the industry and know how to take care of customers.
Get to know each of them here!
Winter – Captain
Christina – Scuba instructor
Christina is a PADI Scuba Diver Trainer at our dive shop with more than 5,000 dives. She was raised in Hong Kong and speaks English, Cantonese, and whatever language the octopuses speak. We call her the “Octopus Whisperer,” as she can always find one to play with. She is also an expert photographer and can always get awesome images of the divers she takes diving. In addition, Christina is also a secret soaper and great fun to be around.
Lauren – Waikiki dive shop manager
Lauren comes to us from Maryland where the water is cooooold! Lauren is attending Hawaii Pacific University where she is currently studying mermaids and their effects on sailors. You can find her at our Waikiki dive shop location taking reservations or renting snorkeling gear and diving gear.
Alexis – MCBH @ Kbay Manager
Alexis comes all the way from the east coast. She started scuba diving back in 2008. She manages our Aqua Zone SCUBA Kaneohe location on the Marine Corps Base. She is also our new dive guide on our catamaran, taking certified divers out to enjoy all the sea life that Hawaii has to offer. She hopes to soon take the plunge to become a PADI instructor.
Devon – Jack of all trades
Devon is a PADI Master Scuba Diving Trainer, NAUI Instructor, SSI Instructor, TDI Instructor, 100 Ton Master Operator, and operations manager for all the shops. He comes from central Oregon, so it is no wonder why he moved here 35 years ago. The only thing he misses is the flyfishing. You can find him in the dive shop taking care of customers or in the bilge of the boat fixing a loose hose.
